Aerial view of the 18th hole
Hole 1 - Trap
The opening hole can be anything from a driver to a short iron depending upon the wind   Read more

Hole 2 - Sea
Long hitters can reach this hole in two in still conditions by playing their tee shot just left of the bunkers from the tee.  Read more

Hole 3 - Broom
Pay particular attention to your aim here - hit too long left and you will be in trouble.  Read more

Hole 4 - Butts
From the tee aim further left than you think especially if the wind is behind as you can run out of room right.  Read more

Hole 5 - Narrows
A great short hole where you must be accurate and have great distance control as the green is only 12 yards wide but 32 yards long.  Read more

Hole 6 - Cutting
This is stroke hole 1 for good reason! If it is into the wind it may be best to play it as a 'three shotter' as the water hazard just short of the green should be avoided.  Read more

Hole 7 - Death or Glory
Whilst long hitters can get home in two by driving past the bunker on the right the conventional play should be to aim your tee shot to the left side of the fairway.  Read more

Hole 8 - Crater
The safest line from the tee is to favour the left side of the fairway to avoid the bunker standing sentry on the right.  Read more

Hole 9 - Plain
A well-directed drive is the key to this testing hole. Long hitters can go too far across the fairway and reach the rough so you may have to go left of the marker post or take less club from the tee.  Read more

Hole 10 - Pan-Ko-Chai
Only 270 yards but this hole needs respect.  Read more

Hole 11 - Woolseners
A great short hole where nothing less than a well-struck shot is required to reach the putting surface.  Read more

Hole 12 - Desert
A challenging drive from this tee - long hitters can make it through where the fairway narrows at 250 yards out and gain extra yards down the slope.  Read more

Hole 13 - Widow
Some may be tempted to have a go at the green - think again as the hole is fraught with danger on both sides.  Read more

Hole 14 - Farm
A hole to be played with the head rather than the heart. Long hitters can go over the middle or left side of the hump and then pitch their second over the bunkers on the left side of the fairway to get home in two.  Read more

Hole 15 - Jacob's Ladder
An intimidating tee shot but there is more room over the gorse than there appears.  Read more

Hole 16 - Wharram
Another testing short hole especially when the prevailing wind is left to right.  Read more

Hole 17 - Sailor's Grave
Pay particular attention to your alignment at this tough hole and aim just right of centre - do not be too greedy and try and cut the corner by going left.  Read more

Hole 18 - Sinah
The key to the last hole is to get a good tee shot away as there is trouble both sides of the fairway - take particular care with your alignment from the tee.  Read more
